Adelsheim Vineyard is pleased to announce our Grand Dinner in honor of IPNC. Special guest winemaker: François Millet, Winemaker for Domaine Comte de Vogüé from Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy

Special guest chef: Naomi Pomeroy, Chef/Owner of Beast in Portland, Oregon

Join us on Thursday, July 23rd at 6:30pm for an evening of adventurous foods and stunning wines from our legendary guests. (A few wines from our library will be added for perspective.)

Domaine Comte de Vogüé is the featured winery at the 2009 International Pinot Noir Celebration. It can trace its history back to 1450 and is the greatest estate in Chambolle Musigny. They own 72% of the fabled Le Musigny vineyard and 2.7 hectares of Bonnes-Mares. This is red Burgundy at its sublime best - marvelously perfumed, rich, ripe fruit, perfectly balanced and exquisitely harmonious. M. Millet became the winemaker in 1986.

Naomi Pomeroy was named 2008 Chef of the Year in Portland Monthly magazine and Beast was voted Best Restaurant in the Oregonian in 2008. Beast is a restaurant with a European edge, a nod to the French, and roots in the local farm scene. "Beast food is from the heart, seasoned with intelligence, integrity and a distinctly feminine touch," (the Oregonian.) Previously Ms. Pomeroy co-founded Ripe, the provocative restaurant group that gave Portland its national reputation for edgy, artisanal restaurants.

Dinner will be served on the terrace, overlooking our vineyards with majestic views of the Chehalem Mountains. The four course meal will include wines from each vintner with short discussions about vintages, vineyard sites, and winemaking techniques. To conclude the evening, dessert, dessert wine and coffee will be available in our dining room.

Only a few seats remain! Purchase tickets online, or by calling Kim Bellingar 503-538-3652.
