Through cooperative efforts between Adelsheim and the former Goldschmidt Vineyard, a new block was replanted in the Dundee Hills with high hopes of delivering excellent Pinot noir fruit. The vineyard was later purchased by Bill Sweat and Donna Morris in 2006 and renamed Winderlea Vineyard after their home in Vermont. Their meticulous care and passion for this iconic vineyard has shown through in the quality of our single vineyard wine as well as their own iconic brand. Many years later, we continue to benefit from the 1 acre of clone 667 on RG rootstock that is the foundation of our Adelsheim Winderlea Vineyard Pinot noir. This special wine balances a rich sweetness with a firm texture and mouth filling spice, blueberry and other dark fruits.
