ADELSHEIM VINEYARD PROMOTES GINA HENNEN TO WINEMAKER AS DAVE PAIGE LEAVES TO ACQUIRE VINEYARD

Adelsheim Vineyard is celebrating three winemaking team promotions and honoring the legacy of longtime winemaker, Dave Paige, who is leaving the winery to acquire a nearby vineyard and start a new brand.  Gina Hennen, who has worked alongside Paige since 2007, is being promoted to winemaker from associate winemaker.  Paige will leave Adelsheim at the end of the year after fully transitioning winemaking responsibility to Hennen.

Chief Executive Officer, Joth Ricci, comments on Paige’s 16-year tenure: “We are very thankful for Dave’s many important contributions to Adelsheim and the Oregon industry.  Through his results-based approach blending courage and flexibility with stability, he developed our winemaking program and team into one of Oregon’s finest. Dave also established Adelsheim as a thought leader -- one of the key places to go to learn new techniques through experimentation.”

Paige was also instrumental in creating, evolving and expanding Adelsheim’s vineyard and third-party grower program. He is in the process of acquiring a nearby vineyard, and will announce details when the deal has been finalized.

Ricci continues, “Gina and Dave had a great partnership, and we are thrilled to be able to promote an established leader from within based on the succession plan he developed.  This is a natural transition as Gina has been directly involved in how our wines have been evolving over the last few years, and she understands all aspects of our winemaking program.”

Hennen joined Adelsheim’s cellar crew in 2007 and was quickly promoted to cellar master.  She was promoted to assistant winemaker in 2011 and became associate winemaker in 2015.  Her winemaking colleagues, Matt Perry and Noah Roberts, who have been with Adelsheim for several vintages, will become Assistant Winemaker and Cellar Master, respectively.
