Chehalem Mountains Estates Trail

Step beyond the tasting room and into the vineyard. This guided two-mile hike through the Chehalem Mountains invites you to move, breathe, and experience Oregon wine country from the ground up. Beginning at Adelsheim and winding through our estate vineyards before continuing onto neighboring Cooper Mountain, this immersive experience offers a firsthand look at the landscape behind the wines.

Along the trail, you’ll stop among the vines to explore the season’s progress—from budbreak and canopy growth to ripening fruit and harvest preparations. Guides share insights into vineyard practices, the rhythms of the growing season, and the unique character of the Chehalem Mountains.

Think of it as wine education with dirt on your boots.

Midway through the hike, guests are welcomed to Cooper Mountain for a seated tasting and a chance to experience a neighboring producer’s perspective. The journey concludes back at Adelsheim with a seated tasting that connects what you’ve seen, walked, and learned to the wines in your glass.

Part guided hike, part vineyard classroom, and part wine tasting, this experience offers a deeper connection to place—and a chance to slow down and savor it.
