92 | 2014 Chehalem Mountains Breaking Ground Pinot Noir
The first new bottling from Adelsheim since 2005, Breaking Ground is designed to recognize the winery's origin, the Chehalem Mountains. It's an appelation bottling from their most prized vineyards, drawing on multiple aspects, elevations, and soils for a composite look at this large AVA. The dusty cherry aromas are assertive and refined, while fine tannins and acidity guide the wild berry and spicy black cherry fruit, resulting in a lightness of tone that feels vibrant and fresh. -W&S

91 | 2013 Elizabeth's Reserve Pinot Noir
Light in color, with a pink-peppercorn scent, this is a lean and delicate pinot noir that mingles a high-toned strawberry flavor with deeper turf and tobacco-leaf tones. Cellar it to give its taut construction a chance to unfurl; then serve with smoked sturgeon. - W&S

91 | 2013 Boulder Bluff Pinot Noir
While this starts out quite savory - with a leafy, foresty scent - it shows itself to be a fresh, brambly pinot, its toothsome succulence turning brisk in the end. It could benefit from some cellar time, but the vivacious acidity might compel you to drink it now. - W&S
