Thanksgiving with a touch of Adelsheim

Finding the perfect pairings for holiday meals can be tough. We’re here to help!

2019 Willamette Valley Chardonnay

Because of its lean acidity and fresh orchard fruit flavors, the 2019 Willamette Valley Chardonnay has the bandwidth to complement an array of different flavors. For our table we selected three different appetizers: prosciutto-wrapped dates, baked brie with cranberry relish and pumpkin hummus. The vibrancy of this Chardonnay, partnered with a dusting of delicate baking spice creates a complexity that is up for the challenge of accompanying just about any delectable appetizer at the table.

2016 Ribbon Springs Pinot noir 1.5L magnum

Main courses can be daunting, and when we think about holiday meals, the centerpiece protein is surrounded by various side dishes ranging in flavors, textures and temperatures. The key to pairing a main course that's surrounded by decadent sides is keeping the wine bright and fresh.

The terroir of our Ribbon Springs Vineyard provides the ideal acidity and tannin balance to accompany your holiday meal - refreshingly bright, structured tannins that aren’t too aggressive, bright red and pink fruits and subtle pepper spice. We’re highlighting complimentary and contrasting flavors on the table with this Pinot noir.

Now that the hard part of selecting the wine is checked off the to-do list, now you need to select the size of the bottle. For events and special occasions with your friends and family, we recommend sizing up to a 1.5L magnum. It’s exactly double the size of a standard bottle which means groups of 4-6 people can comfortably have two glasses, and groups larger than 6 people can have a glass without needing to open more than one bottle. An added bonus for sizing up with a magnum is that when you supply the large bottle of wine, you automatically win the Best Host Award.

2015 Sparkling Demi-Sec Cuvée

When pairing food and wine, sweet needs sweet, and our Demi-Sec Cuvée sparkling wine is perfect when wrapping up the meal. The mild sweetness and foam-like bubbles elevate the dessert course in a truly elegant fashion. Pair this wine with pies, tarts, pungent cheeses, or your favorite dessert. Pie and bubbles?
