Pinot in the City

After a hiatus of four years due to the pandemic, Pinot in the City, hosted by the Willamette Valley Wineries Association, makes its triumphant return to Seattle on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at a location to be announced soon. The WVWA boasts a robust history within the Seattle market, having organized a trade and consumer tasting in 2010, followed by a similar event under the Pinot in the City banner in 2014.

This event will follow a similar model to past Pinot in the City events with an afternoon walk-around trade and media tasting followed by an evening version for ticket-paying consumers.

Seattle was selected as the inaugural city post-hiatus due to its proximity to the Willamette Valley, making it a cost-effective and easily accessible market. Moreover, Seattle stands as a prime destination for tourism to the Willamette Valley and serves as a stronghold for wine club memberships. Lastly, the presence of Willamette Valley winery representatives and targeted distributor outreach will benefit Seattle's restaurants and retailers, amplifying their visibility within the local wine scene.

For dinners hosted in the early spring or winter, the event will be held in a tented area, barn, or covered area, rain or shine. Casual attire recommended.

Here at Field & Vine Events, we are known for our farm-to-table family-style dining. We are excited to team up with Adelsheim Vineyard and enjoy an incredible dinner in their beautiful tasting room.

Join us for a 7-course family-style dinner alongside friends, family and neighbors at this incredible location and with their even better wine.

About Adelsheim Vineyard:

Luck, fate, and a single-minded determination to make world-class wine in Oregon led David and Ginny Adelsheim to purchase their first 19 acres just outside Newberg, Oregon in 1971. Drawn to the uniqueness of the land and its proximity to Portland, it was here they decided to stake their claim, plant their first rows of Pinot noir along Quarter Mile Lane, and establish what would become the Chehalem Mountains’ first-ever winery in 1978—Adelsheim.

Since 1971, they have obsessively pursued benchmark wines that celebrate the unique bounty of our estate vineyards — home to some of Oregon’s most diverse soil types, elevations, and exposures. As a founding winery of the Willamette Valley and Chehalem Mountains’ first winery, Adelsheim has played an instrumental role in nearly every aspect of the Oregon wine story. Adelsheim is a LIVE-certified sustainable winery and a seven-time Wine & Spirits Top 100 Winery.
